Install FSMCore on your phone
How to put the office, the crew app and the books on the home screen of an iPhone, an Android phone or a computer, so each opens like an app.
What you get
Each area of FSMCore can sit on your home screen like any other app: the office, the crew app and the books. There is nothing to download from an app store: you add it from the browser, once per area.
- Tap the icon and that area of your company opens full screen, without the browser's address bar.
- Each icon opens your own company. If you work for two companies on FSMCore, add each one from its own web address: you get an icon per company.
- All three icons are the FSMCore mark. The name under each icon tells them apart:

- Everything you see is the same as in the browser, with the same sign-in.
Install app in the account menu
Open the account menu (your picture or initials, top right) and choose Install app. It installs the area you are in.
- On Android in Chrome, and on a computer in Chrome or Edge, the browser's own install window opens when the browser offers one. Press Install.
- When the browser offers none (an iPhone, or FSMCore is already installed), a small window shows the steps for your device.
- Inside the installed app, Install app is not shown.
On an iPhone
Use Safari. Other browsers on an iPhone may not offer it.
- Open Safari and go to your company's web address followed by
/adminfor the office,/appfor the crew app or/booksfor the books, for exampleyourcompany.fsmcore.com/admin. - Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up). On newer versions of iOS it sits behind the ⋯ button at the bottom of the screen: tap ⋯, then Share.
- Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
- If you see Open as Web App, leave it switched on.
- Tap Add at the top right.
On an Android phone
Use Chrome.
- Open Chrome and go to your company's web address followed by
/admin,/appor/books. - Choose Install app in the account menu, or tap the ⋮ menu at the top right, then Install app or Add to home screen, then Install.
The icon now sits on your home screen and in your list of apps.
On a computer
In Chrome or Edge, choose Install app in the account menu, or click the install icon at the right of the address bar, or open the browser menu and choose Install. FSMCore then opens in its own window.
Signing in and no signal
You sign in the first time you open the icon, like in the browser. Tick Remember me to stay signed in on that device until you sign out.
When there is no signal, a page says No connection. This page needs signal to open. with a Try again button. The app keeps no copy of your company's work on the device: the only page it keeps is that one. More detail for the crew app is in Put the crew app on the home screen.
Remove it
Remove the icon like any other app: press and hold it, then choose to remove it. Nothing in FSMCore changes.
