My jobs
The jobs you are assigned to in the crew app: the list, the job page with its notes, drawings, photos and snags, and what you can add yourself.
What it is for
My Jobs is in the crew app menu, straight after This week. Everyone in the crew app has it. It lists the jobs you are assigned to, and nothing else.
Open a job to read the site notes, look at the drawings, add photos from your phone and see the snags given to you on that job.
For a job you are not assigned to, use All company jobs.
Who can use it
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Crew | See their own jobs, view and download drawings, add photos, add pins, work on their own snags. |
| Owner, Admin, Supervisor, Accountant | The same, but only when they also hold the Crew role and so can open the crew app. They see only the jobs they are assigned to here. |
Nobody can add, change or delete a job in the crew app. The office does that.
You are assigned to a job when the office puts you on its crew, or deploys you to it. See Crew and deployments.
The list
The list shows the jobs you are assigned to. The job that starts earliest is first. There is no button to add a job. A job stays in the list after it is finished or archived, for as long as you are on its crew.
Columns
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Job | The site name, then the job title. |
| Client | The client's name. Table layout only. |
| Starts at | The first working day of the job, in your company's date format. Tap the heading to sort. Table layout only. |
In the card layout each job is one card with the site name and job title.
Table or cards
A button above the list switches between a full table and stacked cards. A phone starts on cards, a computer on the table. Your choice is remembered in that browser. All company jobs and My invoices have the same button.
Search
The search box looks in the name shown in the Job column: the site name and the job title. Typing a site name finds every job of yours on that site. Words can be in any order and small typing mistakes are forgiven.
Open a job
Each row has one action, View. It opens the job page. On This week, tapping a deployment or an On this job entry opens the same page.
There are no filters and no bulk actions.
What you do not see
The crew view is kept to what you need on site. The list and the job page show no job status, no value, no end date, and never the office's own internal notes.
The job page
The page title is the site name and the job title. It opens only for a job you are assigned to. For any other job the page is not found.
Below the details come the sections Drawings, Photos and My snags, one under the other. There are no tabs.
Job details
All three are read only.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Title | The job title. |
| Site | The site name. |
| Notes | The note the office wrote for the crew, for example how to get on site or a map link. Web addresses can be tapped. Shows "-" when empty. |
The page does not list the other people on the job.
Drawings
Plans and documents the office uploaded for this job. You can view and download them. You cannot add or delete a drawing.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Drawing | The title, or the file name when there is no title. A description, if the office wrote one, is underneath. |
| Uploaded | The date and time it was added, on your company's clock. Tap the heading to sort. |
The newest drawing is first. The search box finds a drawing by its title and by its file name, also when the title is what is shown. With no drawings the section says "No drawings yet" and "Plans and drawings uploaded by the office appear here."
The ⋮ menu on a drawing has:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| View | A drawing that is an image opens large, with its pins. Any other file, such as a PDF, opens in a new tab. |
| Download | Saves the file under its original name. |
Photos
A gallery of the job's photos and videos, one to four across depending on your screen. The newest is first.
Each card shows:
- The thumbnail. A video shows a placeholder picture instead.
- The caption, or the file name when there is no caption.
- The date and time it was uploaded, on your company's clock.
- A small pin badge with a number when the photo has pins.
Tap a thumbnail to open the photo large. Tap a video's placeholder to open it in a new tab. The search box finds a photo by its caption and by its file name, also when the caption is what is shown.
The ⋮ menu on a saved photo has one action for crew: Download. Deleting a photo and tagging it afterwards as a completion photo are done by the office.
With no photos the section says "No photos yet" and "Add a site photo or video from your phone."
Add photos
- Open the job and scroll to Photos.
- Tap Add photos. The window Add photos opens.
- Tap Take photo to open the phone camera, or Choose from gallery to pick photos or videos you already have. You can pick several.
- Wait for the line "Photo ready. Tap the button below to save it."
- Fill in Caption and Note if you want.
- Tap the save button. It reads Save to job photos, and once files are ready it counts them, for example Save 2 photos to job photos.
Each file becomes its own photo in the gallery. Everyone who can open the job sees it, in the office too.
The fields:
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Photos / videos | Required. Photos: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, HEIC. Videos: MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, 3GP, AVI. Several files at once. A large JPEG or WebP photo is made smaller, to 2560 pixels on its long side. |
| Caption | Optional, up to 255 characters. "Optional, applied to each photo in this upload." |
| Note | Optional. |
| Completion photos (finished work) | A switch. Only shown while your company has snagging switched on. See Completion photos. |
A photo that finished uploading is not on the job yet. It is saved only when you tap the save button. Tapping outside the window does not close it. If you close the window while photos are ready but not saved, you are asked "Discard 1 unsaved photo?" first. See Saving an upload.
Completion photos
Only while your company has snagging switched on. Switch on Completion photos (finished work) when the photos show the finished work. The field says: "Tagged photos are printed on the job's completion report." The tag is put on every photo of that upload.
To tag or untag a photo that is already saved, ask the office.
Pins
A pin marks a spot on a photo, or on a drawing that is an image, with a note. Use it to point at a detail.
- Open the image large.
- Tap Add pin, then tap the spot on the image.
- Type the note in the box that opens, up to 500 characters. It is saved when you leave the box.
What crew can do with pins on a job's images:
- Read every pin and its note.
- Place a new pin and write its note.
- Change the note or the photo of a pin only when they placed that pin themselves. Other pins say "Added by someone else, read only."
- Never remove a pin, not even their own. The office does that.
PDFs and videos have no pins. The full description is on Photos and files.
My snags on the job
Only while your company has snagging switched on. This section lists the snags of this job that are assigned to you and are Open or Fixed, in number order.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| # | The number, for example S-01. |
| Issue | The title, with the location underneath. |
| Due | The due date in your company's date format, or "-" when there is none. |
| Status | Open or Fixed, as a badge. |
Tap a row to open the snag page. The ⋮ menu on a row has:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Open | Opens the snag page. |
| Mark fixed | Only on an open snag. Asks for a photo of the fix. |
| Add photos | Adds photos to the snag. |
See My snags for these steps. With no snags the section says "No snags assigned to you on this job" and "Snags the office assigns you appear here and on This week."
What happens after
- A photo you save shows in the job's Photos at once, in the crew app and in the office.
- A photo tagged as a completion photo is printed on the job's completion report.
- A pin you place is seen by everyone who opens that image.
Common mistakes
A job is missing from My Jobs. You are not assigned to it. Ask the office to put you on the job, or open it from All company jobs to add photos.
I uploaded the wrong photo. Crew can never delete a saved photo or drawing. Ask the office to remove it.
My photos are not on the job. They were uploaded but not saved. Tap the save button at the bottom of the window after the "ready" line appears.
"Storage full: clean up in Settings > Storage, or upgrade." The company's storage is full, so the upload was refused. Tell the office.
I cannot change a pin. Someone else placed it. You can change only pins you placed yourself.
I cannot find Add drawing. Only the office adds drawings.
The My snags section is missing. Your company has snagging switched off.
